New BOOM! Comics July 2, 2014

This week from BOOM!, true pasts are revealed, origins explored and monsters unearthed! Also, Jack Burton must travel through Chinatown’s Black Road to rescue Wang, BOOM! debuts the fist issue of their new Robocop series, and Garfield solves the mystery of the missing Orange Meringue pie.

“Big Trouble In Little China #2″
Before, Jack Burton and Wang had to save Wang’s kidnapped-bride-to-be. Now, Wang’s the one who’s been kidnapped and Jack Burton’s back in action! Jack and Egg Shen travel through Chinatown’s Black Road and the villains Jack faced before have something new on their mind: revenge!

As the summer heats up, Garfield and the gang keep it cool with two all new stories! First, a tall-tale telling mouse stirs things up for Garfield and Odie, and then, Garfield must solve a whodunit: Who stole his Orange Meringue Pie?

In this special self-contained one-shot, Mike Carey is joined by fan-favorite Captain Marvel artist Filipe Andrade to explore the fracturous and terrifying world of the supervillain siblings!

Elicia Sanchez is a writer, stand-up comedian and comic book reader. She has written for websites Wonder and Risk, Have You Nerd? and Autostraddle and has performed comedy at Bumbershoot, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival and Northwest Comedy Fest. She once did live commentary over Beastmaster with director Don Coscarelli who told her she was funny because he's really nice.
